Wuhuuu.. Man U beat Roma for the third time this season since the group qualification and the fourth time of six matches. Last season Man U destroyed Roma 7-1 at Old Trafford in the quarter-final. Last night only one goal created with sublime header from Carloz Tevez in 70th minute.
Personally, I did not think Roma played well in quarter- final perhaps the missing captain (Totti) had significant influence to the team's mentality due to injury.
The match played with high tempo from both team and using counter-attack to create chances. Fortunetly, each team goal-keeper performed very well and made few saving to keep their sacret area clean.
Roma actually could changed their destiny, when Man U defender Wes Brown tackled Roma player inside the box in 30th minute. Perhaps Fortune Goddess was on Manchester United side last night, De Rossi failed to put the ball behind the line and it flew on the top of the goal post.
Now Man U will face Barcelona in the next round who defeated Schalke 1-0 at Nou Camp, Spain.
